MUSIC YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS 2012 |

These scholarships are open to any pianist, vocalist or instrumentalist who satisfies the rules.
Junior and Senior Scholarships will be awarded as follows:
Section
1 JUNIOR YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP
First Prize: $300
For competitors aged 12 years and under
Time limit: 8 minutes and not less than 4 minutes.
At least two pieces are to be performed.
One piece performed earlier in the Eisteddfod may be repeated.
Section
2 SENIOR YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP
First Prize: $700
For competitors aged 13 to 20 years
Time limit: 15 minutes and not less than 10 minutes.
One piece performed earlier in the Eisteddfod may be repeated.
Scholarship Rules:
All competitors must compete in their AGE solo and ONE OTHER solo section on the same instrument/voice to qualify. Multi-instrumentalists may play more than one instrument in the scholarship section providing they have performed on each instrument in at least one solo section.
A brief resume of ONE A4 page only must accompany the entry form and entries will NOT be accepted without this. The resume should outline relevant studies, activities and level reached at time of Eisteddfod.
Each scholarship winner will not be eligible to compete in the same scholarship section again until 2014.
