JUNIOR SOLO PIANO SECTIONS
Time limit in all sections 2 minutes. One piece only. Medals for all First, Second and Third places. Competitors may enter either age section OR restricted but not both. Only competitors who have never won a first prize at ANY Eisteddfod in piano solo may enter restricted sections.

PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT SECTIONS
The accompaniment can be for an instrument or voice. Only the pianist needs to fit into the age category. The accompanist will be judged on accuracy and interpretation and their contribution to the success of the performance as a pair. One piece only. Time limit 3 minutes.

PIANO CHAMPIONSHIPS
Section 94 14 years and under
Time limit 6 minutes and not less than 3 minutes.
At least two pieces. One must be a fast movement from a Sonatina or Sonata.
To qualify competitors must perform in their own age solo piano section.
First Trophy + $20, Second Trophy + $15, Third Trophy + $10
Section 95 15 to 18 years
Time limit 8 minutes and not less than 6 minutes. Own choice. At least two pieces.
To qualify competitors must perform in their own age piano solo section.
First Hector Lupp Memorial Trophy + $100, Second $60, Third $40
